DESERT SILICON, LLC

  Desert Silicon, LLC is a supplier of materials and services used by the semiconductor industry in the manufacturing of integrated circuits and discrete components. 

  Desert Silicon utilizes the necessary tools to deliver high precision products and processes. A sampling of wafer service equipment availability includes: Plasma Etching Equipment, Low Pressure CVD Equipment, Plasma Enhanced CVD Equipment, and Wafer Steppers for Photolithography.

  Desert Silicon also markets a variety of liquid diffusion  and dielectric spin-on materials for use in I.C. and discrete manufacturing. The high-purity liquids are clear, consisting primarily of alcohol, and are packaged and sold in 8 oz. to one gallon polyethylene bottles. They are prepared to order to assure shelf life, and are typically shipped less than 48 hours after the order is placed.

  Desert Silicon also provides wafers and custom deposition of materials on wafers ranging from 2" to 12" in diameter. We offer wet chemical, plasma, and lapping and polishing techniques for reclamation of wafers, as well as positive resist photolithography.

  Long-established industry contacts allow us to obtain competitive prices and fast deliveries on materials. Plus, our expertise in handling materials enables us to use substrates in innovative ways that cut lead times and avoid production bottlenecks. All incoming materials are thoroughly checked against established manufacturing standards and our own quality control requirements. Inspections of stored materials are conducted at regular intervals to prevent deterioration or contamination.

  Film Thickness Check Samples. Desert Silicon produces wafers to precise measurements for calibrating and checking measurement equipment. These standard reference wafers can be used daily with the utmost confidence. Engineers who employ our film thickness check samples with their company's instrumentation can maintain a high degree of accuracy.

  Customized Circuits. Unlike most standard foundry and commercial products, Desert Silicon is amenable to running low quantities for research. In fact, a considerable amount of volume circuit production originated from research and development projects. Sensors, monolithic integrated circuits and detectors make up the bulk of this diverse product group.

  12" Wafer Capability. Our capability to supply and process 12" wafers is evidence of the firm's commitment to utilize the necessary tools and processes to meet new industry challenges.
